Home Performance Upgrade Recommendations
After collecting energy audit data, one of our experts will provide you with recommendations to improve your home’s overall energy efficiency and performance, such as air sealing and upgraded insulation. How Does Pearl Certification Work?
As part of the Pearl Advantage Network, we’ll look at the efficiency profile of your home. The Pearl system gives points for each high-performing asset in your home. High-performing assets are things that make your home more healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient, such as:
Insulation in your walls and attic
Efficient heating and cooling systems
Energy STAR® appliances
Smart thermostats
Windows and doors
Each of these elements is assigned a point value, and then points are tallied to arrive at the Pearl Certification level. Because the information is based on building science data collected during your energy audit, the Pearl certification offers a tangible measure of how well your home performs. Pearl certifications have three levels — Silver, Gold and Platinum — depending on the energy efficiency of your home systems.
