Looking for an expert in home insulation? You've come to the right place at Wisconsin Home Improvement. Our founding company has been a trusted home insulation contractor since the 1930s. In 1984, we created a separate company—Wisconsin Home Improvement— to focus exclusively on improving the performance of existing homes with insulation.

Our long history with different types of insulation means we understand the unique characteristics and benefits of many types of insulation solutions to make your home comfortable and efficient.

Multiple Options for Roof, Wall & Basement Insulation Upgrades

Wisconsin Home Improvement is able to assess your home's performance and then recommend the type of insulation that best suits your energy efficiency needs. For existing homes needing added insulation, we have a number of options to consider:

Spray Foam Insulation

This type of insulation has the ability to expand into any space, forming an excellent air barrier that reduces noise, keeps pollutants and allergens out and provides superior comfort and energy efficiency. WHI uses Icynene, a closed cell spray foam consisting of two parts that are mixed on-site and applied by our trained insulation pros.

Fiberglass Insulation

Ideal for walls, attics and ceilings, fiberglass can be applied in loose fill/blown-in for dense pack in walls or in batt form laid in attics. Fiberglass is non-combustible, non-corrosive, formaldehyde-free and moisture and mold resistant.

Cellulose Insulation

This natural, plant-based product is a safe, dependable and cost-effective solution that offers noise reduction and moisture and mold resistance. Cellulose is usually blown into spaces and densely packed to create an effective barrier.

Thermax™ Rigid Foam Insulation

Applied in basements and crawlspaces, these sheets of insulation are designed for both insulation and moisture protection. Thermax is applied in basements to the interior walls in combination with spray foam insulation in the box sills.

Recognized Insulation Expertise

Wisconsin Home Improvement has earned Certified Energy Expert designation from Owens Corning through a combination of energy expertise and and knowledge of best practices. Attic Insulation

attic insulation in Wisconsin
The attic can be the site of a good portion of your home's heat loss and energy inefficiency, primarily because heat rises. Poorly-insulated homes can lose as much as 25% of their energy through the roof and attic! For this reason, our team pays special attention to everything directly under the roof when we conduct a home performance audit.

Basement Rim Joist

In many homes across southeast Wisconsin, basements are cool, damp and not very comfortable. While many basements are designed for housing mechanicals like furnaces, water heaters and laundry appliances, they can also provide extra living space for families. Making sure these areas are comfortable and properly insulated is crucial. That's where Wisconsin Home Improvement comes in!

Wall Insulation

If not properly insulated, the walls of your home can account for as much as 35% of your home's lost energy. If you think about it, exterior walls probably have the biggest impact on your comfort—they're usually the largest total area of the house that can lose conditioned air.

Floor Insulation

floor insulation
When talking about insulating a home, most people think about attics and walls. But insulating the floors over the basement or an unconditioned crawlspace can improve your home's comfort and improve energy efficiency. Sealing up the gaps and spaces where air can infiltrate into the main floor living areas can also prevent moisture and mold from building up.

Crawlspace Insulation

Crawlspaces can cause multiple issues in the main living areas of your home. Oftentimes, these areas have insulation that has been neglected for too long. When not well-sealed, insulated and protected from moisture, crawlspaces can make your home feel cold, drafty and musty-smelling.

We've got your high-performance insulation solutions.
